Licensing Fees

Business Premises Licence Only – Our fees are £1,500.00 plus VAT

(to regulate the sale or provision of alcohol/ provision of regulated entertainment/ provision of entertainment facilities/ provision of late-night refreshments/ opening hours)

Fees Include:
·         Application to the Local Authority to obtain a new licence, or;
·         Application to the Local Authority to transfer an existing Premises Licence, or:
·         Application to the Local Authority to vary terms of an existing licence or specify new DPS (Designated Premises Supervisor)
·         Obtaining relevant consent forms
·         Providing due notice to the relevant responsible authorities (I.e. Fire and rescue, chief police officer, etc.)
·         Preparation of a public notice to be displayed on the premises for 28days from the date of the application
 
Fees do not include:
·         Attending any meetings requested by the Local Authority
·         Attending a hearing in light of representations made by third parties) in respect of the application – challenged applications
·         Obtaining relevant consent forms
·         Request for review
·         Applications for a Personal Licence
·         Applications to specify a nominated DPS (Designated Premises Supervisor)
·         Advertisement of the application in the local paper
·         Temporary Events Notices
 
Disbursements:
·         Application Fees
·         Licence Fee (£100,00 - £1,095.00)
·         Due diligence checks on all relevant parties
·         Advertising Costs
 
Key Stages:
·         Initial Consultation
·         Preparing the application and any necessary supporting documents
·         Preparation of a public notice to be displayed on the premises for 28days from the date of the application
·         Providing notice of the application to the relevant authorities
·         Submitting the application and necessary supporting documents to the Local Authority and providing copies to any relevant authorities
·         Advertisement of the application in the local paper
·         Formal notice of decision
 
Time Scale:
Dependent on the type of application and the local authority turnaround times.
Estimated 4-8 weeks.
Some applications require a minimum 28day notice period in which representations can be made against the application.
